Homestead Farm and Two Shadows Farm 2 Day Agility/Herding Camp!

Come join us for an exciting and unique opportunity to spend two days of working dogs in herding and agility at Two Shadows Farm in beautiful Central Mass.
Schedule: Start time: 8:00am each day Participants will be separated into two groups and participate in herding and agility sessions. You may work different dogs in herding and agility sessions. Food: Coffee and light refreshments will be available each morning. Lunch is included each day. Bring your own drinks. Join us for a cookout Saturday night. Other: Directions and hotel information will be provided with confirmation of entry after payment in full. Stock offered: Sheep/ducks Full agility equipment available (Max 200 contacts) In-ground pool will be available for swimming and relaxing! Bring your suit! Limited onsite lodging available – contact Colleen for more information. Bring your own shade, chair, rain gear, crates, and drinks.
Camp fees: $300.00 for 2 days. Saturday night cookout: $20. Deposit of $150.00 to hold spot due with registration. **No camp spaces are reserved without your check.

Competition Pup II: for pups or young dogs who have completed Comp. Pup I. This class will expand our skill and movement practice. Pups will continue to work on focus, impulse control and proofing.
Mondays beginning June 28 for six weeks (no class July 12); 6:15 to 7:15 PM $150 per working team.
NEW! Focus and Proofing Sessions: for dogs not working on equipment, we will concentrate on focus (dog and handler), relationship building and play; for dogs on equipment, we will incorporate skill work and proofing (contacts, start lines, tables, poles). This class will include cooperative training such as having other dogs and handlers out on the course, running relays and many distractions.
Six week series; $150 or by the class $30 per class (please register with me for individual classes)

August and September Classes
COMPETITION PUP III – for pups or young dogs that have completed Comp. Pup II with me or comparable training. Beginning sequences, rear crosses, continue contact performance, start lines and lateral distance. We will also continue to work on stimulus control and proofing. Mondays 6 to 7 PM (to begin when the current class completes – hopefully, August 16); 4 week series; $100 per dog.
AGILITY MANNERS Tuesdays 9 to 10 AM or Thursdays 4 to 5 PM
Here’s the class you know you should take. Walking on a loose leash, waiting your turn in line, but MORE! Does your dog steal stuff out of your agility bag? Does your dog yank the training toy out of your hand? Let’s take the bull by the horns! Train, don’t complain. This class is appropriate for all dogs – even if not actively training/competing in agility. 4 week series $100 per dog
INTRO TO AGIILITY A morning workshop to introduce you and your dog to the fun sport of agility. Come join us on Saturday, August 21 from 9 AM to noon. Dogs must be at least 6 months of age and in good health. $100 for the workshop.
ADVANCED AGILITY WORKSHOP Handling, teamwork, skill-building… all the fun stuff. Dogs already training at an advanced level. 1 to 4 PM; $100 per dog
AGILITY RUN THRUS – for dogs already competing. Nested courses. Pre-registration required, please. $25 per dog
Thursday, August 19; open for walking at 6 PM
Sunday, August 22; open for walking at 10 AM
***All of the above will be held outdoors in a fenced ring. Please come prepared!
Come and play some agility with your dog! Enjoy a chance to try some foundation skills and equipment. Your dog (and you) will have a blast!
Agility Manners Tuesdays 5 to 6 PM
Looking for a little management help with your dog? This class will build skills such as stays, recalls, lateral distance, focus forward and proofing. Not JUST for the agility dog – anyone can play!
Tricks! Tuesdays 7 to 8 PM
Let’s teach our dogs some tricks! It’s a great way to build a working relationship and have tons of fun in the meantime! Useful tricks or not…
All classes are open to dogs 6 months of age or older. Dogs must be in good health and current on vaccinations (or titred). Pre-registration is required. Sessions are four weeks; $100 per dog.
14.5 oz jar salmon(drained) 2 eggs 1 c cornmeal (or 2 c - then skip flour) 1 c whole wheat flour 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/3 c water
1. Light a candle 2. Put all ingredients in bowl to mix 3. Combine in blender or food processor 4. Spread on shallow baking pan 5. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 350 Cool and cut up for treats. Can be frozen and saved for later. Enjoy!
